BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS IN THE ERA OF ROBOTICS

In nearly all forms of business, intelligent machines or robots have assumed routine tasks, permitting human staffers to work on more challenging issues. In retail, this trend has allowed for a heightened emphasis on customer service.
The newest report from the Coca‑Cola Retailing Research Council of North America, The Store of the Future: An Exploration & Planning Guide, delves into many of these emerging areas, including how shoppers in the near future will expect technology to enhance their shopping trips.
However, for all the benefits that the arrival of robots to the supermarket present, there are also challenges that need to be addressed. For one, retailers employing robots will need to recruit employees who can program and repair them to maximize efficiency.
