THE NEW C-STORE SHOPPER

June 25, 2019

As convenience store operators consider the societal and consumer changes impacting their businesses, it is important that they step back and consider some of the major changes they can make to keep up with new technological advancements.

The most recent report from the NACS Coca‑Cola Retailing Research Council, Embracing Modern Convenience: Responding to Shopper Needs, examines these changes, along with the implications and opportunities they present for c-store operators.

For example, page six of the study outlines the major changes taking place among shoppers today, such as the rise of single-person households, new working habits, changes in what value means and new ways of connecting with each other. While some of these trends are already known, the report examines how these lifestyle shifts are affecting shopping and eating habits and the implications for c-stores.
