VIRTUALLY CONNECTED

November 25, 2019

As new technologies continue to break through the current retail landscape, the ability to connect with shoppers in unique ways remains imperative to retailers’ success.  This need for shopper connection will never change, making it crucial for retailers to incorporate new innovations into the in-store experience.

The newest report from the Coca‑Cola Retailing Research Council of North America, An Exploration and Planning Guide: The Store of the Future, examines the shifting nature of the shopping experience. One of the report’s key findings is that even with technology rapidly changing the ways shoppers interact with stores, their basic desires for simplicity and personalized experiences refuse to change.

For example, many shoppers are choosing to use technology-based or virtual assistants in their households. In this new age of virtual assistants, stores need to determine how to best build and maintain relationships with shoppers.
